POEM: And These are My Names ( Originally written in Hebrew by Itta Keller Benhaiem)

And these are my names:

My parents gave me my name

Itta Keller.

My saviour Tadeusz

Embellished me with his name

and I was called

Irena Kobilko.

In the childrens' home

I was assigned the name of Fanny -

Ginsburg.

And my marriage has presented me

With the name

Benhaiem .

And this is my life.

this poem is really beautiful and touching. it shows the constant change in lifestyle you had to experience. it really teaches youth like myself, that the holocaust was in fact real and horrible. i end my comment with a thank you for allowing people to umderstand the horrors you had to endure.

That is really touching, it really explains the constant changing of names. It could be me, but that would a lot of courage to write that, even after the Holocost. I horrible at spelling. If I could help I would. I pretty much saying thanks for that
