I do know Ferenc Hutterer who had a cousin whose parents were sent to a concentration camp and gave their son over to people to look after him. This family was from Budapest, Hungary and the parents actually survived the concentration camp but searched unsuccessfully for their son. The cousin, Ferenc, was in a camp but is still alive and residing in the US of A

I am German. I hated my herritage for years. I don't understand how anyone can have such a disregard for human life. Because of what I am, I have always needed to know more. It made me feel better when I discovered there were Germans that tried to save people. Because of the holocaust I can not bear any form of racism. Thank God the Jews are God's chosen people. He cursed anyone who comes against them. It is the rest of the worlds job to be on there side. God bless you all, and let no one forget.

Hi- very good to have this and so many other topics regarding the Holocaust.
I look at these photos and I just melt with sadness. I want to put my arms around all these little children and kiss them and hug them forever.
I feel helpless.
Do not be alone- come and talk to me- I love you all for all you have done for your country- and the strength you showed along with determination.
God Bless you all and best of luck.
I am a shoulder to cry on and I'm a good listener...if it would help in a small way?.x

I really like what your site does. It is imperative that people never forget the atrocities that took place. Your site, quite literally, sends chills down my back. I look forward to exploring it more and reading the survivors stories. Thank you!

I am pleased this site exists and thankful but it never ceases to amaze me just how many missing people, children there are and in a world where we have seen so much progress, medically, technology etc., we still have situations where people are missing from war. The misery this has caused and continues to cause is so devastating, to those missing and those seeking to find them, and to those seeking their missing identity. I am seeking to find my own missing family, with the help of many kind people, and not a day goes by without my mind turning to those seeking and those lost. I send my love to you all.

Tears roll down my eyes and my heart bleed while staring to these children's faces ... I know what was done to the People of Israel in my own country (Portugal) long time ago during a very long time (how could I forget) - I live in Germany since about twenty years, married with a german woman, my father in law's mother was in the resistence, her sons deserted the wehrmacht and were prosecuted and jailed and escape with the help of those who were themselfs escaping; but she stand alone in the Harisleeerstrasse in Flensburg, refusing to open the door to the gestapo orks - nevertheless, exceptions like these confirm the rule, how could they (the Germans) just look away and ignore what was going around??

I can't begin to imagine what it must be like not to know who your parents or family are as well as what happened to them. The stories here break my heart. All of you are in my prayers. God Bless All of You! I hope you find peace.

I feel bad sending this comment out, but I am so shaken by all these stories, that I would like to know if any have a happy ending. Did he find any relatives?
can't imagine what is to go your whole life not knowing who you came from.

Hope the best for the person, and that any helping hand he can get to provide him with any information is out there.

I am doing a project in my literature class and I chose to do mine on Grazyna. I enjoyed learning as much as I could about her and her mother during the Holocaust. She has a very interesting story and even though she was not in the Holocaust directly she has been affected by it drasticly. Thank you for making this information available to read and learn about.
