THE STORY

This little girl was born in the Netherlands, probably in the spring of 1944, to a Jewish woman of Sephardic descent.

She was sheltered, together with another girl(??),  possibly a sister(?) , possibly a twin,  in a Dutch  family.

We believe this little girl was  hidden in 1944 /1945 by people in Millingen, a Dutch town renamed Millingen a/d Rijn after the war.

Probably in the summer of 1946 the two children were sent to Canada to Camp Shiloh in Manitoba.

There they were separated.

This little girl was given a new name, Sandi, and a new(?) birthdate.

These photos when she was in her 40's may perhaps show some family resemblance to her mother (father?) when they were that age.

A more recent photo may perhaps show some similarity to her grandparents and/ or other relatives.
